The house system plays a vital role in the effective running of the school. The house system coordinates and develops a wide range of school activities including academics, games and other co-curricular activities. The system elicits a keen sense of participation and belonging and cuts across all class divisions, thereby bringing a greater degree of cohesion between the students, staff and administration. The lifeline of this system is curricular and co-curricular activities which promote the active and wholesome all round development of the growing student. Every student is expected to show consistent interest in at least one co-curricular area and be co-operative in House activities.
To promote a healthy growth in physical, mental and emotional aspects into the younger generation, CBSE recommended separating the total strength of the pupil into 4 different House-Teams with 4 different names and colours. While they play for competition, they can learn how to behave sportively and this quality is essential in their life. The four houses abbreviated as SAGA, which are;
